its sunday today, and i've gotta say, it's probably

went to jurong point in the day to eat lunch and i've gotta say..

this is a really small world!!!! haha met Raina by chance

near the escalator!! she was with three of her friends,

one of which i know. haha

she was surprised to see me too! haha and then her

friends started mentioning about the present i bought

for raina.. and then asked "how come u know how to get

this kinda gifts?" and then Raina was telling me how much

she liked the present and that i got her the right colour too!!

(there were many colours but i chose one suited to her taste xD)

hahaha anyway.. glad i met them. she can brighten up my day

anytime! :)

really happy to know that she likes the present. haha

then ran into my old friend raymond.. coincidence coincidence~

had a short chat and found

out that the girl beside him was the one he was going after! haha

hmm recently lots of weird things happening to me ar..

this girl called fiona from singapore poly msged me

saying that she wanted

to be friends with me. and of course being the nice guy

that i am, i was fine with that. until she started msging

to me about wanting me to go her house to teach her

piano, and an instantaneous msg was sent to me that said,

"lick my p****"

lol (whats with the random horniness?)

with all my k-po friends by my side,

i probe alittle further to where she stayed and it turns

out to be just outside my camp. so i got all my friends to

take turns using their hp to call that person's phone.

ended up, a guy picked up the phone.

its dam irritating to have all these prank msgs.

some boys just don't know when to grow up.

due to the occurrence of this phenomenon, i would suggest

to all my dear friends please ask my permission before giving

my number to any random girls/guys/animals.

lol.

and recently, i got chosen for the performance in ndp... out of utter

randomness. now i have to burn my weekends and go rehearse

running here and there while carrying target boards. but this is gonna be a once

in a life time experience. might as well enjoy it to the fullest =]

our rehearsals will be on the padang from 16th june onwards..

will be looking forward to that :D

and i'm having a major outfield training tomorow =.=

and yes, while doing those stuffs, i'll study hard on my music theories..

i've alrdy covered up to grade 3~ gotta practise more pieces so that

i can improve my sight reading~ weeeeee

and special thanks to all my friends that have been behind me

supporting me, giving me strength and encouraging me.. :D

thinking back, one of the most memorable moments in my life

was having someone who was so skilled in piano to recognise

my skills, rather than a grade 8 pianist. those who went for the

ke nyp exchange would know. hahaha too bad my piece always

watched kick ass recently and i've gotta say,

its one of the best movie i've watched so far.

haha! there was a particular scene, when

hit-girl appeared in a room to kill every single

bad guys, she used 2 blades and just went around

with cool and slick moves to stab them, and even cut

off a guy's leg too. even though its gory, duno why

i still find it funny lol! -_-

i've been in ns for 10mths.

kinda funny thinking back,

the second week after i got posted to kranji camp,

i smuggled in 2 cans of salmon.. and got caught!!!!

since i was new in the camp, they rewarded me with

30 push ups. LOL and it turns out i was the first person

we caught rats in the bunk using rat traps. and i

specially went to buy this hamster ball. And I managed to

somehow get the rat inside the ball. i brought the ball

down for my friends to play with. poor rat =X hence

i was named that -.-

And now, i have a new name!

hahaha there was a competition conducted last friday,

we had to strip and assemble our rocket launcher,

do all the drills without any mistakes and within the

shortest timing and i am the best! ho ho ho....

if anyone were to say that to me, it'll just make me mad.

was quite hungry so i ordered quite alot xD

swedish meatballs, poached salmon, and a new cold dish consisting

of different marinated herrings.

u have no idea how nice that chilled herring taste..

dude its like eating a piece of heaven...

THE lame thing happened to me today.

was goin home from church with elliot today.

i wanted go westmall

and so this bus 176 came along and he was like:" hey this goes to westmall"

so i boarded the bus presuming he was right behind me.

i tapped my ez-link and turned to see him at the bus stop laughin hysterically,

"hahahahha - THIS BUS GOES BACK TO CHURCH - hahahahaha!"

luckily thx to my quick reflexes to save face, i walked calmly and quietly

just recieved a shocking news from my mom at work.

one of my colleague passed away today..

i used to work there at kiddy palace at jp and she used to

work in the baby department.

what that shock me... was that i had visited kiddy palce not long ago..

and she seemed fine to me.

and today, she passed away because of a sickness.

and she did not even reach the age of 50.

i visited kp today, and my friends there were all teary eyed...

i can't help feeling sad too.

guess all i can do now is pray for the rest of her family

who are going through challenging times now.

i feel sad for her daughter.. who is also working

there now..

life made so fragile.

jus after field camp, came another camp =.=

situational test at a campsite near the sea.

now i know why some people break down

during camps.

u get so exhausted and you still get punished

every now and then for little things someone

did wrong.

i'm was near my limit alrdy.

jus glad that everything is over :]

i keep asking myself this question.

if i was in an r/s with someone for a period of time,

would i give up that someone just becose i'm no longer

happy around that person? and go for someone better?

its a really interesting qsn that people should ask themselves

would you give up on the r/s and take the easy way out?

and care about your own happiness and not the other party?

BACK FROM HELL!!!!! MY FIELD CAMP IS OFFICIALLY OVER.

thank God its finally all over. 6 days of no-showering, no brushing

of teeth, heat rashes all over the body,

yucky green and black camouflaged face, insects crawling all over

the body, kneeling and lying down on rocs and mud, eating army ration

packed food, getting shout at over and over again,

getting punished at the slightest mistakes,

leopard-crawling on the sand till your arms and kneel

hurt. that was what we did. But theres one thing i liked about

it. It builds team spirit.

throughout this camp, i've come to treasure every smallest

things we do in everyday life. a simple brushing of teeth or

washin of face makes me feels happy. haha

guess i'm just missing home too much alrdy:)

there was one point of time during my camp which i couldnt forget.

the look on my buddies' faces when they received letters from

their loved ones. it was kinda an emotional moment for all of

us. its nice to be able to see the soft side of everybody:)

and theres someth more about tekong that surprises me.

even though its just a 5-10 mins ferry ride from spore,

the view of the sky from tekong at night is simply

spectacular. its lit up with lots of moons and stars

(did i say moons? lol) and i even saw 2 shooting stars. (how cool cld it get?;))

i just love breath-taking scenaries:)

how am i feeling now ? u'd ask.

i'd say i'm contented with everything around me.

time really flies nowadays. and i'm now back home again.

goin get lots of rest tonight.

it has been an emotional time for me.

there is a first time for everything,

and for me, loving her changed me into a person that i nvr knew i was.

before i ever met her, i can tell u what kind of person i was :

-i was a blockhead ( she would always say square-mail):p

-i did not even know how to love anyone

-i did not know how to care for anyone

-i was totally clueless about basically everything.

-everyone saw me as the tim, the guy who plays
piano, basketball, and hangs out with totally cool frends :)

love really changes a person alot.

made me feel warm for the first time in 20 years.

i've always had frends and family by my side but

i always felt something was missing,

until this girl came along to change my life completely :)

suddenly i was doing things for her that i nvr knw i would do..

went with her to lots of places,

had lots of fun and laughter!!

she looked so happy :) and it made me even more happy:))

dats when i decided to put in more effort to make her feel special and xinfu,

to feel loved, and always to make her laugh, so that she wud

forget all her painful memories:)

looking at all the photos we had taken together makes me

smile all the time. :)

loving someone is not about that special feeling someone gives.

in relationships, we all have the same special feeling in the beginning..

Maintaining Your Individuality in Love

What is the distinction between mature love and a common misconception of what love is: the symbiotic relationship? Mature love is stable, a union of two people who respect themselves and each other. Symbiotic love is needy and dependent. Symbiotic relationships demand that one person has power over another. This results in the loss of the integrity of both partners. Mature love means that both individuals in the partnership have room to be themselves, even while being together. In the symbiotic relationship, one partner is driven by need and fear that the other partner will leave. In mature love, each partner is free and whole, choosing, rather than being driven, to give love to the other partner.

Mature love requires giving your love with no strings attached, with no expectations. Many of us have learned from society that to give means "to give up" or "to give away" -- in essence, creating a deficit in ourselves. Further, we learn to give only as much as we expect to receive in return, lest we end up feeling cheated by giving more. Giving, as it exists in mature love, is quite different from these types of messages we have received. Rather than being seen as a sacrifice or an investment in future returns, giving in mature love comes from a desire to give and an ability to do so. In the words of Erich Fromm, author of The Art of Loving published in 1956, "Giving is the highest expression of potency... more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness."

In a symbiotic relationship, one partner gives up a significant part of himself or herself in order to maintain a peaceful relationship. This individual, ruled by a fear of being alone, will sacrifice parts of his or her identity for the sake of keeping the relationship intact. Short-term conflict is avoided, and the status quo is maintained. In the long run, though, there is a price to be paid: the loss of one's individuality. If one partner idolizes the other and is willing to sacrifice himself more completely, then the other partner has more power and control over the relationship. When the balance of power is unequal, the relationship becomes unsatisfying for both partners; almost inevitably, it ends. There are a lot of people willing to give up an awful lot to avoid being alone. They are willing to give up who they are, what they are, and what they want and need. They are willing to sacrifice their individuality for the love of another.

Any person who is willing to make such a sacrifice lacks self-love, and thus is incapable of maintaining a mature, loving relationship. Self-love is where love for others has to start. Giving up your individuality will eventually come back to haunt you; you will end up feeling anger, resentment, and/or regret. The outcome of one partner resenting the other is the deterioration of the relationship. People need relationships, but they also need to be fulfilled within themselves. When you give up your dreams for the sake of your partner's, you do so at the cost of your own individuality and personal growth.

When you enter into a relationship, it does not mean that your personal life stops. Your life does not totally change because you are with another person. You have to maintain your own individuality. You have to have your own personal goals. You need to maintain the friendships, hobbies and interests that you had before you met your partner. If you give these up for the sake of your relationship, you are giving up your life. When your partner first met you, they were attracted to you as an individual. It's important that you keep your individuality-- that's what attracted your partner in the first place. Maintaining your individuality will enable you and your partner to build a mature loving relationship.

Many relationships fail today because one partner have given up too much of themselves for the other. You have to love yourself first, before you can love another. If you enter a relationship and give up all the things that define you as an individual, you are not giving yourself the love that you need. Sooner or later, if you lose your identity, if you stop giving to yourself, you will be unable to give to your relationship.

It's important not to confuse identity and individuality with flexibility in your relationship. Individuality is about the things that make you who you are. Flexibility is about compromise. Compromise will always be necessary in any relationship that you have. In order to compromise, you have to be committed to honest communication of your feelings and needs at all times. In building a life together, problems will arise.

Problem solving through honest communication is the key to building a mature, loving relationship. Neither you nor your partner should give up anything that makes you the unique person that you are. It's up to you and your partner to find the balance that you both need to succeed in a rising loving relationship.

customers most of the time.. and i gotta pay attention to

several things at once...

the customers who come in gotta greet them,

customers who leave gotta greet them,

gotta clear tables,

gotta take orders using touch screen com which is

frustratin at times becos there are toooo many fooood,

gotta pay attention to the food fountain,

gotta pay attention to the fountain area where dessert

is served...

swensons is jus simply so hectic

and can u guess hw much i earn?

its $4.50/hr!!!!!

legs turn jelly whenever i think abt dat. -.-

but at the very least, theres someth to be happy

abt - that i work at the same place as my gf.

was listening to melodies of life recently

cant believe so much time have passed since i

played that piece at the concert. its kinda cool

that you play a piece so much that nearly everyone

actually recognises me as that

guy-that-played-melodies-of-life.

and i still do play that beautiful melody :)

i guess my definition of playin piano is

to practise alot, play it with your feelings and make

it your song, and then sharing with the world

how beautiful a simple melody can be.

my face turned pale almost immediately.

i left my levi's wallet at queenstown mrt and

realised it when i reached harbour front with my gf -_-

remember those moments in the movies when

people in cetain circumstances have a sudden resolve

to do the impossible? matrix?!

dats was when my super-brain kicked into

omega-quantum-overdrive!(sounds cool yea?)

wanna knw wat dat means?

i remained calm and went to asked the station-in-charge

people to call queenstown station. They even gave

me a smrt hotline to call... which was busy =.=

and then they ask me to go back outram mrt to ask the station

contact the station. pissed and anxious at the same time,

i asked the person to contact the queenstown directly

through the phone. it was only after i mentioned dat i

jus lost it moments ago that they decided to take this bru(blue)

file out to finally call that station. they asked for my name

and confirmed that they had found a wallet.. cld u imagine

how happy i was?! you cld even say my heart was in my mouth:/

super duper special thx to whoever out there

that returned my wallet to the station.. heard it was

a chinese guy. thx sooo much! i'll never let my wallet

outta my sight! ever!!
